When some people are considering a more plant-based diet they wonder if they will be able to get enough protein. This book is a guide to help answer that question with a resounding yes with scientific studies, tables, charts, and in-depth nutritional analyses to show the abundant sources of high-quality plant-based protein. The authors also explain the roles of macronutrients and micronutrients as well as the amino acids that are found in protein that promote healthy growth. The authors even include the recommended daily allowances for protein of various age groups as well as offer suggestions on how to obtain all of the vital nutrients that each group requires.

The authors explain how plant-based protein has some key advantages such as having a lighter carbon footprint and distinct health advantages. Plant protein contains vital compounds such as antioxidants, phytochemicals, and fiber which all help to reduce the risk of chronic diseases while avoiding some of the undesirable components that are more common to animal products.

This well-written and easy-to-read book is accompanied by enticing photos that help to make it easier to put all of the provided and well-explained information into day-to-day practices. To make it even easier the authors have also provided menus, mouth-watering recipes, quizzes, cooking tips, and a daily guide to more healthful eating that will help with planning a nutritionally balanced diet to set you on the path of incorporating more plant-based options into your lifestyle.

This practical and comprehensive evidence-based eye-opening guide is the answer to the most common dietary questions for those who are considering a plant-based diet, specifically, where do I get my protein and can I get enough?
