Results of a recent survey of Italian women has found that relationship problems are responsible for nearly two out of three cases of insomnia. The survey of more than 1,000 self-proclaimed insomniacs aged 18 to 65 revealed that 64% of sufferers blamed their sleepless nights on “irritation” caused by their partners. Meanwhile, a further 15% of women blamed their inability to sleep on worrying about their family and children. However, the biggest things keeping men awake at night were work worries (33%), money problems (24%), an “unsatisfying sex life” (22%), and “family tension” (19%).
