Boosting Testosterone Naturally for Sports Performance

By ndelgado at Nov. 19, 2015, 9:34 a.m., 19024 hits

Testosterone shows a powerful effect on the immune system. Studies show that people deficient in testosterone tend to store more body fat and burn fewer calories. It can also affect your sex drive and sports performance abilities. Often, my clients show remarkable increases in testosterone without the use of drugs or steroids. This is due to several herbal remedies contained in supplements.

Key Supplementation Ingredients

Oat Sprout or Avena Sativa is an extract from wild oats and straw commonly taken as a natural aphrodisiac. It is believed to free up testosterone in both men and women. Restoring a healthy libido is one commonly reported side effect. Though Oat Sprout does not create more testosterone in the body, it’s believed to free some that is in a bound state. When testosterone is freed from its binding receptors, nature takes it course by stimulating sexual interest in both men and women.

Organic Cabbage is rich in phytochemicals including DIM AND i3c which increase proper estrogen metabolism, indirectly boosting Testosterone.

Eurycoma longifolia is a small evergreen tree with flowers and fruit, which is dark red when ripe. The British Journal of Sports Medicine published the results of a scientific study in 2003, which showed that it increased muscle strength and size compared to a placebo, which suggests anabolic properties.

Velvet Antler is uncommon to the West but considered an integral part of traditional Chinese medicine. Velvet antler is typically dried and used powdered or in tea form for a variety of health purposes: anti-inflammatory, immune stimulant, and pro-growth agent. A Canadian study found higher testosterone levels after taking velvet antler supplements for several weeks.

Nettle Leaf Powder is native to Europe, North Africa, Asia, and North America. Most species have stinging hairs, and have similar medicinal uses. The stinging hairs of most nettle species contain formic acid, serotonin and histamine. Extracts of the nettle are used by bodybuilders in an effort to increase free testosterone by occupying sex hormone binding globulin.

Research shows that pumpkin seeds are great libido boosters. Pumpkin seeds are high in zinc, which is important for preventing testosterone deficiency in men. As men age, zinc declines in their bodies. This can lead to prostate enlargement, as well as other male sexual health problems, including impotency. Prostate tissues are dependent on zinc.

Great topic
I agree some of the supplements you mention may boost libido and possibly “free up” some T without actually increasing total T, however DIM will improve estrogen metabolism by improving the 2-OH/16-OH ratio of estradiol, yet it will not have an effect on T since it works on downstream metabolites of estrogen.
Intense exercise itself is probably one of the best ways to raise T short of HRT.

The use of DIM and Ic3, D-Glucolactone with wasabi can restore both 2-hydroxyestradiol and 2-hydroxyestrone which are methylated during their metabolism by the body. Interestingly, 2-methoxyestradiol (2-MeOE2) has a significantly higher affinity for Sex Hormone Binding Globulin than do estradiol and even testosterone (1). This is significant in that 2-MeOE2, by virtue of its higher affinity for SHBG than testosterone, can displace testosterone from SHBG, possibly enlarging the fraction of free, or bioactive testosterone.

I have used Avena Sativa, nettles, tribulus with Long Jack herbs to observe a significant increase in free Testosterone within less than 3 weeks (unpublished studies). I trust others will soon confirm my finds. I believe the combination with DIM with a highly absorbable delivery system will give a desired effect. It is of interest to combine Testosterone therapy (pellet, injectable, or cream) with this potent herbal therapy to secure better benefits without side effects that may come from testosterone replacement alone. Intense exercise in sessions of less than 45 minutes, may increase T, yet by itself, exercise in excess in the case of overtraining, can decrease levels. Supplements and replacement therapy is highly advisable.

dim pro has risen to prominence, we need to look at how increasing estrogen levels in the environment can affect our bodies. Higher estrogen levels, which dim pro estrogen seeks to redress, can impact on both men and women alike. In addition to reducing sperm counts in males, increased exposure to estrogen heightens the risk of cancer across genders

Now you can update your hormonal profile, by answering a series of simple questions at the following web site: https://unitynaturals.com/health-quiz-test/

Its important that you start testing not just blood hormones, yet also start monitoring your urinary hormone metabolites which often exert far more effect on the body than the primary hormones. We use both ZRT to do a 4 spot collection of urine which then provides a very detailed report with references:
https://unitynaturals.com/product/complete-urine-metabolites-profile/

We also use Rhein Consulting lab for a 24 hour total load of hormones
https://unitynaturals.com/product/24-hour-urine-hormone-analysis/

Saliva measures the free portion of hormones and is particularly accurate for measuring the changes during the day of cortisol, a critical hormone affecting your immune defenses, and stress management.

From answers you can compare your lab work from saliva, urine and blood tests to the findings for Testosterone, Estrogen, Cortisol, DHEA, Thyroid, Progesterone, Growth Factors (HGH), and the molecule Nitric Oxide.

Also if you or your patient have low testosterone then use TestroVida Pro

If you estrogen levels are too high and you have prostate problems as a man, or as a women you have symptoms of breast problems, uterine cysts or fibroids, and are obese (more than 20 lbs above ideal weight) then use Estroblock Pro, the clinically proven product the clear harmful estrogens and restore balance to the 2OHE to 16OHE metabolites of estrogens measured in the urine.

IF you are on testosterone replacement from pellets, cream or injections, to prevent the conversion testosterone to estradiol then use LivDtox to reduce the estradiol levels known to elevate in men and women and cause serious symptoms or disease.

Outdoors exercise in the sun stimulates our natural testosterone, and added sex, see bedroommastery.com
