Tokiwa Pharmaceutical Confirms Anti-aging Property of Acetyl Hydroxyproline-based Cream

Tokyo (JCNN) - On April 18, Tokiwa Pharmaceutical, a group company of NOEVIR, announced the results of its latest research on acetyl hydroxyproline, an acetylated form of hydroxypline, a kind of amino acid widely used in cosmetics.In collaboration with Kyowa Hakko Kogyo and Okayama University, the company has compared two subject groups: one using acetyl hydroxyproline-based cream regularly and the other using placebo cream.

The result suggests that the acetyl hydroxyproline-based cream has a beneficial effect on skin senescence.Detailed research results will be presented at the 30th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Investigative Dermatology to be held in Yokohama from April 20 to 22.
