Researchers Get Makna Awards For Study Of Cancer

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 8 (Bernama) -- Two local researchers in the field of oncology (study of cancer) received Cancer Research Awards, worth RM50,000, from the National Cancer Council (Makna) here Thursday. They were Dr Vishna Devi V. Nadarajah, from the International Medical University in Bukit Jalil, and Maha Abdullah alias Maha-Lakswmi-Pon, from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Science, Universiti Putra Malaysia.

They were Dr Vishna Devi V. The two women researchers received RM25,000 each as grants for their area of study.
