POCATELLO - Local cereal farmers learned about new possibilities for marketing their crop Wednesday, including genetically-engineered crops and ethanol production. Bonneville County Extension Educator Wayne Jones told growers the genetic engineering could be a lucrative venture for agriculture workers.

POCATELLO – Local cereal farmers learned about new possibilities for marketing their crop Wednesday, including genetically-engineered crops and ethanol production.

Bonneville County Extension Educator Wayne Jones told growers the genetic engineering could be a lucrative venture for agriculture workers.

Jones was one of several speakers at University of Idaho's annual cereal school in Pocatello. Farmers from across southeast Idaho attended the conference to learn more about new varieties, grain diseases and current issues.
