LLMs: Petition For Human Intelligence Not Against AI Superintelligence

There is no lab solely for human intelligence, just trying to answer unknown questions on biological intelligence.

What exactly is human intelligence? What are the types of human intelligence according to mechanisms in the brain? How does the brain work to produce what is identified as intelligence? What should be done to explore more about it, to strengthen human intelligence towards possible competitions against AI?

AI Petition

There is a new [October 22, 2025] story on Axios, AI leaders push to pause superintelligence, stating that, “A growing number of people — including AI pioneers and other prominent tech figures — want to stop the development of AI that can outperform all humans. A group of scientists, policymakers, and actors is calling for a pause on superintelligence until it’s proven safe and controllable. The group also released polling that found that three-quarters of U.S. adults want strong regulations on AI development, with 64% of those polled saying they want an “immediate pause” on advanced AI development, per a survey of 2,000 adults from Sept. 29 to Oct. 5.”

Human Intelligence Research Lab

There is no human intelligence research lab on earth. It does not matter if AI superintelligence research is paused or not.

There is no lab solely for human intelligence, just trying to answer unknown questions on biological intelligence. Even right now, without the so-called superintelligence, there is no human brain that can match most of the frontier AI models on many tasks.
Such that, already, most of what it means to be intelligent, among humans, like expertise, certifications, and so forth, is exceeded by several AI chatbots.

The claim of some people that AI has not surpassed human intelligence is based on what? That AI cannot innovate or isn’t creative enough? How so? Assuming the two major types of human intelligence are operational and improvement intelligence, much of the regular expert knowledge and much else can be operated by AI.

Also, while there are incredible examples of humans with extraordinary intellectual improvement, most of the innovative and creative intelligence available across is mild improvements in intelligence.

For example, in answering questions in different ways and generating outputs, sometimes outside of reality, AI also has mild improvements in intelligence.
So, on operational and improvement intelligence, AI cannot be simply ruled out.

If this is the case, the challenge for humanity is not the AI superintelligence ahead, but that human intelligence, right now, requires and deserves serious attention.
How about venture capital deciding to expend a fraction of the huge sums given to AI, to human intelligence? How about conceptual explorations of components and relays of intelligence in the brain? How about having the new research lab kick off in November 2025?

What should be the key chatter everywhere, for now, is that human intelligence is already surpassed, and AI is still forging ahead, then what is the fate — or otherwise — of human intelligence?

This is the petition that would care more for humanity than just being against research in AI, which is already tied to economic growth and unlikely to be hindered.

Superintelligence Cuts

There is another new [October 22, 2025] report on Axios, Exclusive: Meta slashes jobs in its AI operations, stating that, “Meta is cutting several hundred roles from its AI unit even as it continues to hire for its newer TBD Lab, Axios has learned. The company concluded that its long-standing AI efforts had become overly bureaucratic and hopes the reorganization will create a more agile operation, according to an internal memo seen by Axios. Meta is cutting roughly 600 positions out of the several thousand roles within Meta’s superintelligence lab.”

“The cuts will affect the company’s FAIR AI research, product-related AI, and AI infrastructure units, while sparing the newly formed TBD Lab unit. U.S. employees will learn by 7 am Pacific time on Wednesday whether their jobs are affected, Wang said in the memo. The company is encouraging affected employees to apply for other jobs within Meta and expects most will find another position internally.”
