Childhood Obesity Running Out of Control

A 12-year-long study of more than 8,000 children has confirmed health expert's suspicions that child obesity in the US is increasing at unprecedented levels. Results of the study showed that the number of African-American and Hispanic children that are overweight increased by 120% during the study period, while among white children rates increased by 50%.

A 12-year-long study of more than 8,000 children has confirmed health expert's suspicions that child obesity in the US is increasing at unprecedented levels. Results of the study showed that the number of African-American and Hispanic children that are overweight increased by 120% during the study period, while among white children rates increased by 50%. Altogether, the results mean that roughly 22% of African-American and Hispanic children are 12% of white children are overweight.
