Cannabis is a naturally grown herb that has been used for thousands of years in many cultures to treat a wide range and variety of health issues. Many countries regulate it very strictly, others ban it completely. During the past several decades there has been many efforts made to legalize cannabis products and its uses into modern medicine practises as the herb can treat common illnesses and provide health benefits.

Cannabis has been used in the treatment for respiratory illnesses because of its anti-inflammatory properties and analgesic effects, that includes the ability provide better oxygen flow by dilating the bronchial tubes. Studies were conducted in the 1970s on asthma patients showing the positive effects.

Stress and anxiety are common issues in society, cannabis oil helps to stabilize emotional responses from these. Researchers have found that the cannabinoids slow down stress receptors in the hippocampus and have published studies on it.

Cannabis oil has antioxidant properties that can treat heart related issues. Studies have shown that it can help prevent against some cardiovascular issues such as strokes, heart attacks, and atherosclerosis. It is known and recognized that cannabinoids have the ability to dilate and relax blood vessels, which helps in improving circulation, which in turn lowers blood pressure.

There is strong evidence from studies and many personal reports that cannabis oil is powerful and effective in the prevention of seizures that works wonderfully in some patients with epilepsy. There has been studies recently that show breakthroughs using it with Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s.

Studies have shown that cannabis is an effective source of relief from chronic pain. Strong evidence proves that cannabis products are an effective way to heal the discomfort caused by chronic pain by preventing neural transmissions in the body’s pain pathways. It also helps to reduce inflammation and helps with stabilizing sleep patterns.

If you apply cannabis oil to your skin it can give it a healthy glow. The oil exfoliates the old cells and helps to stimulate the growth of new cells to replace them. It also fights off psoriasis and acne by aiding in the production of lipids. It can also help prevent skin disease such as rosacea and eczma.

Researchers are finding that some cannabinoids have many various and positive effects in the treatment of cancer. The help to prevent new blood vessels from becoming tumors. The help reduce the risk of cancer cells spreading through the body to nearby healthy tissue. It helps to trigger the death of cancer cells through apoptosis, and helps prevent the division of cancer cells.

Even though there is very strong evidence of cannabis possibly being a super healer many countries are still keeping it banned and don’t recognize it as a possible cure for many illnesses.

Cannabis is still seen by many as just a drug to get people high, and ignore the medicinal properties, it is so much more than just that. The plant as a whole, hemp, is relatively cheap and easily sustainable, with a variety of wide ranging uses that are vastly underutilized. It wasn’t always this way, at one time it was common-place to see hemp products more widely used. Hopefully the outlook on this wonderful plant with so many ranges of use will change for the better soon.
