SFGate reports that Ted Williams' daughter has ended her series of attempts to have his body taken from Alcor facilities and cremated - thus removing any chance at a future through cryonics. It's been an unpleasant, very public family affair and was in many ways the principle cause of much of the legislative furor over cryonics during the last twelve months.

As I've mentioned before, there is an important lesson to be learned here for those of us interested in cryonics as an insurance policy. Make sure that your relatives cannot - or preferably will not - legally interfere in your cryonic suspension.
