"We have to keep in mind that looking forward thousands of years the evolution of the human species and whatever its descendents may become is pretty incalculable. But in this century I think we are going to see some pretty dramatic changes.

But in this century I think we are going to see some pretty dramatic changes. I think we will see the indefinite suspension of ageing by the end of this century. I think we will see quite dramatic accelerations of the potential of human intelligence in this century. We need to think about the consequences for society of an indefinite suspension of the prospect of death, barring accident."
