Because of the ever increasing risks of Endocrine Disrupters and GMOs, dealing with such newly evolving risks and detoxing is now considered a higher priority than Nutrition among the effective anti-aging modalities. For details, click on LIFE-LONG HEALTH cover at http://www.antiagingforme.org .

Highlights
► A Roundup-tolerant maize and Roundup provoked chronic hormone and sex dependent pathologies. ► Female mortality was 2–3 times increased mostly due to large mammary tumors and disabled pituitary. ► Males had liver congestions, necrosis, severe kidney nephropathies and large palpable tumors. ► This may be due to an endocrine disruption linked to Roundup and a new metabolism due to the transgene. ► GMOs and formulated pesticides must be evaluated by long term studies to measure toxic effects..
Researchers found that rats fed a diet containing NK603 Roundup tolerant GM maize, or given water containing Roundup at levels permitted in drinking water and GM crops in the US, died earlier than rats fed on a standard diet. They suffered mammary tumors and severe liver and kidney damage.
Up to 50% of males and 70% of females died prematurely, compared with only 30% and 20% in the control group.
Across all treatments and both sexes, researchers found treated rats developed 2-3 times more large tumors than the control group, defined as 17.5 mm in females and 20 mm in males.

By the beginning of the 23rd month 50%-80% of females in all treated groups had developed large tumors, with up to three per animal. Only 30% of the controls were affected.
The tumors “were deleterious to health due to a very large size”, making it difficult for the rats to breathe, causing problems with their digestion and resulting in hemorrhaging.

Large detectable tumors appeared after four months in males and seven months in females, but only after 14 months in the female control group and 23 months in the male controls.

Treated animals also suffered severe liver and kidney dysfunction. Liver congestions and necrosis were 2.5 to 5.5 times higher than in the control group. There were also 1.3 – 2.3 times more instances of “marked and severe” kidney disease.

The lowest dose tested in the study (50 ng per liter) is below safety limits for Roundup in water and crops. EU legislation sets the maximum permitted concentration (MPC) in water at 0.1 microgram/liter, 1 mg/kg in maize, and 20 mg/kg in other animal feeds like soy, oats and barley. The US sets a Maximum Residual Level (MRL) in some animal feed of 400mg/kg.

While we are debating if people should have the right to know what foods/poisons they are consuming (California proposition 37), France Gears up to – most likely – disallow GM corn and ban imports.
Agriculture Minister Stephane Le Foll, Ecology Minister Delphine Batho and Health and Social Affairs Minister Marisol Touraine said that once ANSES gives its opinion, they will ask the Government of France to take all the necessary preventive measures for public and animal health. This might include immediate suspension of imports of genetically-modified corn— NK603 CORN— to Europe.
An even more dangerous form of Genetically Modified Corn?
The above research dealt with herbicide-resistant GMO corn. There is another GMO corn that has a gene inserted that produces a pesticide (to prevent bugs from eating the corn). In my opinion – supported by numerous science facts – this type of corn is much more dangerous to animal and human health. Mechanism, and comparative data, will be presented by myself at the coming (Las Vegas, December 2012) Congress of the American Academy of Anti-aging Medicine, A4M, “The HOW TO of Anti-Aging from the Ground Up. “ www.worldhealth.net
