The 3T MRI, with a higher resolution, allows us to visualize minute details such as demyelination, calcification, ischemia, etc. and consequently detects early cognitive decline or damage. It can reveal brain atrophy and changes in structural anatomy, which may be precedent to early dementia or Alzheimer's. Application of the 3T MRI in a clinical setting is promising for early diagnostics and therapy.
